Another great Webinar is coming up from Adept-tec. Here is the info:

Adept-tec Webinar : How do I archive content that Enterprise Vault can’t archive?

Thursday 14th July 2016, 2pm to 3pm (BST)

Compliance and eDiscovery are fast becoming major reasons for archiving email and documents but there are content source like Bloomberg, Symphony, FactSet, Thomson Reuters, BlackBerry, Microsoft Skype and Yammer, Salesforce Chatter, Social Media (Twitter etc.) that still can’t be archived natively by Enterprise Vault. In this webinar we will be showing how a leading 3rd Party product, Merge1 can connect to and retrieves from these content sources. We will discuss the pros and cons of the solution and show a live demonstration on how it is configured and implemented and going onto show how the content can be used in eDiscovery.

Our webinars are designed to provide a deep dive insight and give you the opportunity to meet with and talk to experts in the field.

If you would like to book your place please email admin@adept-tec.com or call 01628 559360.

From my friends over at Adept-tec:

Friday 10th June 2016 from 2pm to 3pm (GMT + 1)

We will review the product Data Insight, concentrating on its two main use cases which are security and data management. We will look at the integration between Data insight and Enterprise Vault File System Archiving and how it can be used to configure appropriate policies to collect all relevant data. We will also discuss what would be involved in a Dark Data Assessment and the resources that would be required for the assessment. As usual there will be live demonstrations and a chance to ask questions.

If you would like to register for this webinar please email admin@adept-tec.com

We look forward to meeting you on the webinar.

For people who are thinking of starting to archive email data (or other electronic data like SharePoint and file servers) they will almost certainly have come across Veritas Enterprise Vault. It is still probably the most comprehensive archiving product available. But it’s a big product, with a lot to learn about.

So where do you begin?

Phil Waters, who I crossed paths with a few times when I worked at Symantec (always a pleasure, never a chore), has put together an excellent course introducing Enterprise Vault. It’s available on Udemy on this link (Introduction to archiving with Veritas Enterprise Vault). The course covers all the information that someone new to Enterprise Vault is likely to need, and, it’s free!
