Like you I thought that these went out with the ark… but apparently not.  A colleague and friend walked me through installing it on my desktop machine at home (which has just gone from 6Gb RAM to 12Gb).

Just under 5 Mb.

Works on 32 bit or 64 bit systems.  This is the main screen where you can see I am in the process of configuring a 768 Mb RAM disk.

On disk, this is what I have…

In others, during a normal shutdown operation, and periodically (as defined on the Options tab) the ‘memory’ is written out to disk.

Now I see my ‘drive’ in Disk Administrator:

Finally, I modified Google Chrome to launch as follows:

C:\Users\rob.rob-PC\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe –disk-cache-dir=”m:\chrome” –disk-cache-size=52428800

That means that Chrome starts and uses a 512 Mb portion of the RAM Disk.   It all runs rather well..  Very quick, compared with before.
