I updated to OSX Lion 10.7.4 yesterday.. after debating whether or not to do for about the last week!  It all went very smoothly I hasten to add, and was very, very, very quick.

One thing I noticed after the upgrade was that it would seem that my screen would dim down to black after about "1 minute" of not doing anything on the machine.  This causes me then to have shake the mouse, and unlock the machine to get going again.

It drove me made.

But this morning, I fixed it.

First you have to open the Energy Prefrences:

And then move the slider towards the right .. I set mine to 1 hour:

    Thanks for the blog…

    • Welllll 1-2 minutes before turning the screen off was a tiny bit too fast for my liking. Would be fine for a single computer person, but I have two computers on my desk, so turning away from the Mac for a “second” to do something on my Windows PC and back to the Mac just to find it had “dimmed” on me became annoying.
I feel sure it wasn’t quite so trigger happy in 10.7.3….
