One of the tiles on the Windows 8 Consumer Preview start page is the weather ‘widget’.  Here is what it looks like out of the box:

weather1

When you launch it, you can configure additional cities/towns, using Accuweather’s list of places.  It is really simple and straight forward to use, and beautiful to look at, as you’d expect.

One thing that I did was bring up the charms (hover near the top right of the screen – and yes that works on the active screen even with a dual screen setup as I have, or press Windows + C) and change the measurement from fahrenheit to Centigrade.

Now here is the finished version:

weather2

And the tile now looks nice:

weather3

The city/town which is listed as the default is the one which appears on the start page, at least, that’s how it seems to me.

But of course if you want to see multiple cities/towns you can add additional tiles to appear on ‘start’ from within the weather app.
