Here is an article that I have not seen before :

When Enterprise Vault encounters a corrupt message during an archive run a 3288 event is logged and archiving stops

I’ve never actually implemented that, but then I don’t run production servers.  Has anyone ever implemented that?  Does anyone still then monitor the 3288 event’s and investigate the cause of them?

  1. Hi Rob, I did set this on one server, but did not investigate the issue further. Customer accepts this risk.

  2. Hi Rob,

We implemented this switch at a very large customer (110,000+ users) after extensive lab testing. Without the switch some mailboxes would hang each night and never be fully archived. No deleterious effects were observed in lab or production.
