Maybe you have some users who are a bit like me, and leave somewhat important, going to be useful one day (maybe), haven’t quite finished but will – emails in their Drafts folder in Outlook… forever.  I’m bad, I know.  I’ve got mails in my draft folder that have been there for over 6 months.  I do occasionally clear *some* of them out, but I never get around to doing them all.

One of the features which was added to Enterprise Vault Exchange Mailbox Archiving was the ability to archive these draft items.  This was added in Enterprise Vault 8 Service Pack 2.

This is controllable by the Archiving Policy setting as shown in the screenshot below :

Two things to note :

a/ The items are not turned in to shortcuts

b/ The items do not get attachments removed
